Knitting and Other Stuff

I just can't believe how time flies but I do have a couple of things to show that I have been knitting a little.  The AU socks are finished and waiting for cooler weather.

I also dug the Vintage Velvet Scarf (from Scarf Style) out of the WIP pile.  I started this scarf probably about 2 years ago and I think the only reason that I put it down was that I was afraid to join another ball of yarn in.  I did have support from Sharon and Susan in the process but still never finished.  I am in the mood for scarfs now that the weather has cooled to the 80's and hope to finish it soon.  The color is a deep purple which doesn't photograph well.

Since I have a lot on my plate now I started another pair of plain vanilla socks with self striping Fortissima Socks.

In other good news the 'BOX" is on its way to me.  The box I am refering to is the Dishrag Tag.  I have to knit a dishrag with the yarn and pattern enclosed and send the box to the next one in line.  I think my team is behind but we are moving to the finish line.

I am also participating in the Trick or Treat Swap and am waiting for my yarn to arrive from across the pond.  If it doesn't come in soon I may have to go to plan B.  I have had fun picking out treats for my partner too.

   

Since it is Wednesday it is time for Whiskers on Wednesday.  The pile of kitties don't fit into the small bed but they still try!

Yes Today is Wednesday

Wow, I can't believe that today is already Wednesday.  Where does the time go?

Since I have so much beautiful roving, I knew I needed to pull the wheel out.  Bibby gave me this roving from Wooly Treasures and it has been calling my name.  Aren't the colors beautiful?

I am moving right along on the Secret of the Stole III and have finished clue 4.  The AU socks are also almost finished.  A plain vanilla pair of socks knits up quickly.

Since it is Whiskers on Wednesday I tried to have some action shots for your enjoyment but the subects just were not cooperating and this is all I've got.

Just a Drive-By

Since I have been a little under the weather this past holiday weekend and this week I have a drive-by.

I finished Clue #3 on the Secret of the Stole III and by DK's(the designer) calculation we are 36% finished .  The next clue will be out in the morning.

The Spring Forward socks are finished.  This a great pattern and these are the second pair I have made.

Not much excitement with Wiskers on Wednesday.  The "children" must play all day while I am gone because it seems like all they do when I am home is sleep.  The proof follows.
