A Hot Summer Day
I wish I had lots to say and a lot of FOs for you but I just have 1FO and lots of unfinished and also new projects. I was sad that I didn't make the deadline in time for Emily's Dish Rag Tag but I did join the Mystery Stole 3. My yarn is ordered and I just received my new Addi Lace needles.
In a moment of weakness I started the Scarf with a center pattern(that is the name) from Victorian Lace Today, page 16. I had Kidsilk Night in the stash and decided the scarf would make a lovely Christmas for a certain family member. The center pattern is very easy but the knitted border may be a little harder since I have never done one. Here is the progress as of yesterday.
I also finished the Summerfield Socks From The Loopy Ewe Sock Club. Sherry also had a big update this morning so check it out.
Pattern: Summerfield Socks from Wildhorse Farm Designs
Yarn: Skinny Dipping (merino/bamboo/nylon)from All Things Heather
Needles: 1 1/2 (2.75 mm) DPNs
Sock Blockers from Becky's Leggy Creations. Becky is giving away a pair of blockers in her contest Nominate a Friend so check it out.
I have wound the Apple Laine yarn to start the second Monkey sock and with the lace stole project to be swatched I have plenty to work on this weekend.
Taz is tired this morning and is obviously not too excited to be pictured today!

Tuesday
I wish I had lots of fun things to report but things have been very slow with the hot weather and lack of rain. I have been still knitting away on the mate to the Summerfield Socks and am on the heel flap.
I had to join the bandwagon (yes I know I am late to the party) and start a Chevron Scarf. I went through the stash and came up with Koigu in #P436 and #P113. I also decided to follow Amy's lead and only knit on 36 stitches since I only had the 2 skeins and I don't like a wide scarf. I am loving the color combination and the pattern.
Hershey went back to the ophthalmologist last week and got a good report and DH also took Taz to Dr. Korsch because we noticed a spot on his eye. She said it was a freckle but we needed to watch it. He also had a flipped inner eye lid which she corrected. We had noticed his eye had been watering more than usual and felt bad we didn't know what was wrong.
Please go visit Darlene and check out her newest addition. Watch out she is going to be addicted!!
Cisco has upset that he hasn't appeared lately so here he is!
Gotta run. Have a great week.

Summer is Here!
Another week and another pair of socks. I finished the mate to the Punk Pink Sock from Scout's Swag.
Garter Rib Pattern
Size 1 1/2 DPNs
I mailed my Hurricane Sock Swap Package out Friday and I hope she receives it tomorrow. I have had a lot of fun in this swap and I thank Christy for hosting it.
Since just loved the colors of this yarn that I ordered from The Loopy Ewe, I had to start a new sock even though I have not finished the second one from her sock club. The yarn is Apple Laine in the Painted Daisy color way. The yarn is so nice and is 50% wool, 20% mohair, 20% silk and 10% nylon. I decided on Monkey since the other pair I knitted was for my Sockret pal. I usually finish one pair before starting another so I have gone back to the Sock Club sock and will finish it before going back to the matching Monkey.
I will leave you with a few shots from the yard. Still no rain in sight and much hotter later in the week so I imagine we will have a water ban soon. Have a great week!
